In this MTV hit show, hosts Max and Nev try to solve the mystery of “who is really behind these profiles.” Catfishing may appear strange to you, but it is a widespread practice. This does not, however, imply that what you see on the show is correct. The producers are said to have reversed the application process. Catfishers were required to fill out an application in order to be considered for a spot on the show.
